Microtherm is well-known as a successful manufacturer of thermostats for different applications. In the future the company will develop and establish its business further in the sectors of automotive, medical technology and renewable energy.
For that purpose new product lines, like contactless sensors and complex, electronic controls were developed and produced. “By the use of these new developments we are positioned perfectly to sustain our position in the global competition”, says Hans Volz, technical director and member of the management board.
The automotive industry makes high demands on product quality, productiveness, competitive ability and continuous improvements.
“To achieve these requirements we have decided to carry out the certification according to ISO/TS 16949:2009. Last but not least to get global access to the automotive industry”, explains Rolf Weishaupt, head of the quality management.
The ISO/TS 16949:2009 unifies all global norms and requirements of the automotive industry (like VDA 6.1 + QS 9000) into one quality management system. With this certification MICROTHERM automatically meets also ISO 9001:2008.
„For us, as a medium-sized company, it was a great success to pass the certification according TS”, mentioned Rolf Weishaupt. “For this successful achievement of the whole process-orientated procedure, we have worked for a long time and with big efforts. For sure we will force up the process,-and product quality continuously”.
