Saving jobs and factories through success in India - MICROTHERM wins against International competition
Pforzheim/Düsseldorf, 27th of May 2009 – The opening of an own sales office in 2005 and the strong commitment to the Indian market were successful - MICROTHERM wins the competition of the German Indian Chamber of Commerce. The award ceremony took place on the 27th of May 2009 in Düsseldorf/Germany.
In spite of the international economic crisis India will grow in 2009 with a rate of
6 to 7%. Therefore India belongs to one of the most dynamic markets worldwide and offers further excellent possibilities for German companies to do business.
For MICROTHERM GmbH, manufacturer of electronic regulation and control instruments from Pforzheim - the Indian market has long been of great interest. "We are convinced to have better and more influence in the realization of our sales strategy and direction of the sales team when opening our own sales office", mentioned the Export Manager, Mr. Franz Benz.
In 2005, with the professional support of the AHK in Mumbai, a MICROTHERM sales office was set up in the same city. Already in 2006 it was necessary to add further sales persons to the team. In the following year another sales engineer had to be appointed.
The next milestone was set with regard to the expansion on the Indian market with the opening of a further MICROTHERM sales office in 2009 in Bangalore. Like this our sales engineers were closer and could give better service to customers in the interesting Southern part of India.
„Since the opening of the MICROTHERM sales offices the turnover almost doubled every year", explains Hans-Jürgen Grutzeck, project manager for India.
"In spite of the actual economic crisis, which can also be felt in the Indian economy we are confident that the market will recover and we will continue our business and engagement further successfully", is the forcast of Mr. Franz Benz.
In November 2009 MICROTHERM will participate with its own booth at the CWIEME show in Mumbai to present new protection, safeguard and temperature control products.
